Achieved Academic Success against All Odds
I have suffered from feelings of inadequacy for as long as I can remember, even when I was a child. It was not because my parents didn’t love me but because I felt weighed down by their academic and character expectations of me. I was always worried about falling short and scared their hearts would change toward me.
This only worsened when I got into medical school. There were many times I wanted to cry out, “I don’t think I can do this.” But that wasn’t something I knew my parents would like to hear, so I felt all alone and greatly burdened. Though I was a Christian, I never knew my Savior intimately. I never really knew about God’s grace.
But the word “grace” kept ringing in my heart. I had read the book Unmerited Favor long ago in early secondary school but couldn’t remember much about it. But the Holy Spirit reminded me who the author was. Quickly, I searched “grace by Pastor Joseph Prince” and was ecstatic to find not just teaching but also the person of my Lord Jesus!
As I continually listened to the Word, the Lord led me through what my stormiest academic year in university and granted me a miraculous result against all odds! Indeed, God showed Himself Almighty, and I am glad to be His child and able to continue to know Him more intimately.
Thank You, Lord Jesus! Thank you, Pastor Prince, for preaching the gospel of grace. It has truly been a blessing to me. All praise to JESUS, amen!
