Answered Prayer for a New Job

I left my job with a religious organization where I had been for well over 20 years because the Lord had made it clear that it was time for me to leave. I departed without any promise of future employment, but I knew I was following Him.

During a really tough day, the Lord reminded me of a song Pastor Prince had sung before ministering in a service. The song was about how the Lord makes all things beautiful in His time. I listened to him singing and ministering that song over and over again. A few days later, I saw a temporary job assignment with an oil and gas company that looked good. I requested to interview for that position.

The moment I walked into the building, I knew I wanted to be there. After the interview, the Lord reminded me of what Naomi told Ruth in the Bible, “Sit still, my daughter, for the man will not rest until he has finished the matter today.”

I started as a temporary employee, but by the end of 4 months, I was hired as a permanent employee. Soon after, the Lord made it clear to me that He had prepared this particular position and kept it ready for me. Not only that, I had prayed and written down on a little note about 2 years earlier what I was asking the Lord for in a new position. I realized He had given me exactly what I had asked Him for and more!

Today, I work in my own private office with a beautiful view, which is practically unheard of for someone with my skill set. I get to work from home part of the time, while my other days are spent in my beautiful office. My compensation, paid time off, and health insurance benefits are truly top-notch, and I have every other Friday off.

What touches my heart the most is not the outward benefits I’m enjoying but the fact that He wanted me to ask Him for what I really wanted. Then, He delighted in doing for me even more than I asked, in such a way that’s undeniably Him! The hand of God and His perfect kairos timing continue to be so evident.

Thank you, Pastor Prince and ministry staff, for your faithfulness in serving the Lord and His people. I will continue to share the liberating and strengthening message of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ! I love to hear Him being preached!
