Artery Unblocked After Prayer
Since the beginning of 2014, I had made two visits to the accident and emergency unit of a hospital and was admitted once due to syncope (temporary loss of consciousness) with fits.
The neurologists conducted a thorough check and could not find anything wrong with my brain. I was then referred to a cardiologist and scheduled for a computed tomography (CT) angiogram on April 3, 2014.
On April 4, 2014, I was informed that my major artery was significantly blocked (ninety per cent) and I needed a stent in that artery. The hospital arranged for me to undergo the stent procedure on April 8, 2014.
Just two days before the procedure, I was scheduled to serve in church for the first time. My wife encouraged me to go and that we who dwell in the secret place of the Most High shall abide and be protected under the shadow of the Almighty (Ps. 91:1). So I went ahead and served. Not only did I get to be a blessing, I was also blessed by the congregation and the team of wonderful volunteers I found there!
After the service, my wife and I asked a leader to pray for me, and together, we agreed in faith that no stent would be required in my body.
On April 8, 2014, I was told that a scan would be done to determine the extent of the blockage again before the operation could be performed. During this time, I kept declaring that as Jesus is without any blocked artery, so am I.
To the surgeon’s surprise, he did not find any trace of the blockage! He then discussed with another surgeon and both of them confirmed that there was no need to insert a stent. Later, as the surgeon spoke to my wife, he said that it was a miracle.
God is a good God. The nurse also asked me what I did and I told her that I prayed to Jesus. How mighty He is! Thank you, Pastor Prince, for your teachings on Psalm 91.
