As Jesus Is Without Blocked Arteries, So Am I
Six years ago, I made 2 visits to the accident and emergency unit and was admitted once due to fainting episodes accompanied by fits.
The neurology team did a thorough check on my brain, but could not find anything wrong. Finally, I was referred to a cardiologist who scheduled me for a computed tomography (CT) angiogram.
When the result was out, I was informed that my major artery was significantly blocked by 90 percent. I was then asked to go for a procedure 4 days later to insert a stent in my artery.
Despite the negative report, my faith in Jesus never wavered. Two days before my operation, I started serving in church at one of our service venues. There, I found a wonderful team of volunteers, and I got to bless and be blessed by the congregation who attended service at the venue.
At the end of the service, my wife and I got a leader pray for me and by faith we agreed that no stent would be required in my body.
On the day of the operation, a senior consultant who reviewed my case explained that my condition was due to insufficient blood supply to the heart.
He told me that he would do another scan to reconfirm the extent of blockage in my artery before performing the operation. During the whole time, I kept declaring that as Jesus is without any blocked arteries, so am I (ref.: 1 John 4:17).
To the consultant’s surprise, he did not find the significant blockage reported earlier. He even conducted the same the angiogram procedure to confirm the results, as well as a blood pressure flow test.
He then discussed with another surgeon and both confirmed there was no need to insert the stent. Later, as he spoke to my wife, he said it was a miracle.
Later, the nurse asked me what I did and I told her that I only prayed to Jesus. God is a good God. How mighty is He!
