Being Anchored In Jesus’ Love Helped Her Land Job
I was verbally abused and emotionally hurt by my ex-boyfriend. When I finally had the courage to end the relationship and leave the company we both worked at, I was unable to find a new job for many months. I even had to bear the financial debts I had incurred for my ex-boyfriend.
Despite my complaining and harboring negative thoughts, God did not give up on me. He led me to 1 John 4:17—as Jesus is, so are we in this world—and I began to declare it whenever I felt like giving up.
God also affirmed His love for me through Pastor Prince. In one of his church services, he preached about the importance of declaring 1 John 4:17—the same verse that God had led me to! At that moment, I knew God wanted to remind me that I was His beloved child and to continue to declare His Word for me.
Ten months after I left my previous job, I received a call from the human resource manager of a multinational corporation I had gone to for a job interview. I couldn’t believe it when he said he was sending me a job offer letter! I thought I had done badly in the job interview.
I’m thankful to the Lord for this opportunity. After working at the company for three months, I received excellent scores in my confirmation appraisal. I know this was not through my own efforts but through the One who truly loves me. I am indeed a beloved child of God. Thank You, Jesus!
