Better Job, Better Pay, Better Peace
I grew up in a Christian family, whose members were held hostage by guilt, condemnation, and legalism. At nineteen years old, I began a journey to find the truth. But for many years, even after I changed churches, I still did not feel complete, and I was not sure what was wrong. I loved the Lord, and most of the time, I thought He loved me.
Then, some old friends introduced me to a television preacher named, Joseph Prince. They were so excited about what they were learning from him. I was more than a bit skeptical, but I trusted my friends, and I pondered about all that they had said. When I returned home, I decided to check out this TV preacher, wanting what my friends said to be true, but not expecting much.
That was in November 2011, and I have not been the same since! Through Pastor Prince’s ministry and the power of Jesus, my life has been transformed!
Finally, for the first time in fifty-two years, I no longer “hope” I will go to heaven, “hope” God loves me, “hope” He is not mad at me, and the list goes on. Now, I KNOW that I am God’s beloved and I can rest in this assurance.
After losing my job in December 2013, the Lord moved me into a new position in February 2014, with a significant salary raise. As Pastor Prince has said time and time again, “Pray for a position, not a job.” I just received a promotion to a much better position, which comes with another significant salary raise. I know God is totally at work in my career and positioning me exactly where He wants me—and I am more than willing to be there!
I now have a peace that passes all understanding. I never understood what that verse means, but I do now! In the past years, people have commented that I should be a nervous wreck. But I am calm. I call on Jesus for help in getting through challenges. I also ask for wisdom and discernment in knowing what to do, as well as mental, physical, and spiritual strength.
One recent morning, I walked downstairs only to find the house sitting in an inch of water, due to a severe thunderstorm. I did not panic, throw a tantrum, or fret. My basement was a big mess, yet I was listening to lovely music and praising God, knowing that all was under control.
I can say that Jesus, our Abba Father, and the precious Holy Spirit have not left me alone. They have been with me through every step of the way and most importantly, I know it!
I ask Abba Father to continue to bless Pastor Prince, his lovely family, and his beautiful church. You are all a blessing to the world!
