In 2009, I moved back home to live with my parents after graduating with a degree in business at twenty-three years old. I was over $15,000 in debt, single, and unemployed. Work was hard to come by and I had no clue of what to do for a living.

I am the seventh of eight children in my family and we were raised with very little. I remember not having much while growing up. My dad worked very hard his whole life to support us and still does to this day.

My dad has been listening to your messages on grace. When I moved back home, he told me that I “had to listen to these Joseph Prince’ messages and read his book, Destined To Reign.” The first messages I listened to were about God’s unmerited favor. Then, I started to learn and listen about God’s grace and what believing right meant.

Listening to your messages, I came to learn that Jesus was the one that “did right” and it wasn’t about my right doing that made me right with God. Rather, I just needed to “believe right” in Him. What a revelation it was to me and it was so freeing!

I had grown up in church and went to Christian schools most of my life. Back then, in a Christian Bible class in high school, our teacher would ask each of us to stand in front of the class and share what we feared most. So I told everyone that I feared “not living up to the expectations of God.”

My teacher and classmates thought my answer was good, even though it was sad, wrong, and biblically inaccurate! Looking back, I realized my mindset was performance-based. I believed that Jesus saved me but I had to maintain my salvation by my works. My focus was always on not sinning, rather than looking to my Savior for His righteousness.

Today, I am happy and excited to share how I am no longer under the condemnation of sin as I believe Jesus is my righteousness. God’s favor has since poured in and the rest is history!

I met my wife, Megan, in 2009 and we got married in 2011. We record and watch Pastor Prince’s sermons and messages daily. Looking back, we have been so blessed both spiritually and financially!

By God’s undeserved favor, I was brought into a real estate career in 2010. My income has nearly doubled year after year since then and we managed to pay off all our student debts in the first year we were married. (Megan also had over $15,000 in student debt.) We are only twenty-eight years old today, yet we have been blessed enough to buy our houses with cash!

We feel like the more we learn about Jesus’ righteousness, God’s unmerited favor, and all that He has done for us, the more He continues to bless us! We are expecting our first baby girl and could not feel more blessed.

Pastor Prince, we want to thank you for your ministry. God is so good and He has used you to teach us the true message of grace and how to believe right.
