Blessed with Better Job After Resting in the Lord
Three years ago, I was in a lot of debt. I started crying to the Lord to help me with my finances, as I was facing a very tough time with my loans. Then, I lost my job due to restructuring in my company.
Being a jobless and a single parent with loans up to my neck, my situation looked worse than before. But I came back home with my exit letter knowing the Lord would take care of my situation. During that week, I heard Pastor Joseph Prince teaching in one of his sermons about resting in the Lord. He said, “When we rest, God will work.”
That message was so encouraging, especially when everyone around me was talking about the recession and jobs not being available. I was worried about the monthly repayment of the loans, but I held on to the word about “resting in the Lord,” believing He would work on my problems. I continued to spend my time meditating on the Word and listening to Pastor Prince’s messages.
As I started resting in the Lord and waiting on Him for a wonderful job, interview calls started coming in. I attended interviews without stress but with a lot of confidence, and I asked boldly for the salary I wanted.
During that time, I got to spend all my time with my son, who is 27 years old and autistic, and focused on his health and well-being with a lot of joy. I also focused on my own health and started feeling better and relaxed. I had sleep issues for the last 3 years, wherein I hardly slept for days, but now I have sound sleep.
Finally, while I was resting in the Lord, I got a fantastic offer from a great company with a 30 percent increase in pay and a higher designation. This helped with the loans, and I was also glad I was no longer working in the old company, where I was undergoing a lot of stress and receiving no recognition for my contributions.
I want to thank and bless Pastor Joseph Prince for the amazing message that helped me to stand in the face of the storm. I have been watching his messages since 2007. All praise to Jesus, and thank you, Pastor Prince, for letting us know about the Lord’s tender love for us.
