I was born and raised in a religious family for thirty years. In 2008, I immigrated to America from Africa. It was not an easy transition. I got a job and moved out of the community house I was living in for over three years. I went to church religiously too and made all sorts of sacrifices for God. It was overwhelming.

In 2011, I first heard Pastor Joseph Prince’s sermons on television. I had never heard anyone preach that way! I felt like I was finally home. Only the gospel of grace could break the chains of legalism that bound me. After I got hold of Pastor Prince’s teachings, things started to turn around.

Due to the nature of my job, I wasn’t able to meet any eligible men as I was working indoor with kids most of the time. So I decided to join an online dating website because I knew people who had met online and who are happily married. At the end of one year of my subscription to the dating website, at the very last month, I met my future husband! I knew then he was the one God had promised me. (My last relationship ended very badly and I left my ex-boyfriend believing that God would bring me someone better in every way.)

In 2012, we got married and the following year, I gave birth to twins—a boy and a girl! I was overflowing with joy. My friends and family members had thought that I would never get married and that I was barren. God showed them what He could do!

I have also been waiting on my immigration status for over three years. Finally, in February 2014, I received a favorable response and I know that it’s only possible because of God’s grace.

I used to be a person full of negativity—impatient, quick tempered, envious, and jealous—but God has delivered me and given me such joy that I know I am a changed person today. I listen to your sermons so much and I wish I had known then what I know now about how much God loves me and His never-ending mercy and grace toward me.
