Blessed With New Home, Job, And Good Grades
Pastor Prince, I had been looking for a house since 2014 without success. I was frustrated but decided to pray about it and sent my prayer request to your ministry.
By God’s grace, I managed to find a suitable place through a housing agent. However, my bank loan was $15,000 below the buying price. This was not ideal as I needed to save money to pay the tuition fee for my part-time studies.
I bought the house but asked for a second home valuation. Praise God, my second home valuation was exactly the same amount as my bank loan! To be able to save $15,000 for my tuition fee meant a lot to me. God is so good and never shortchanges us!
Next, I was worried about my school grades as the move to my new home would coincide with my term study. I asked Daddy God to help me plan ahead such that the move would not disrupt my studies. He answered my prayer and the move took place only after my school term. Moreover, I did well in my studies and was blessed with a good grade for a subject I was not confident in.
I was also accepted into a master’s study program by the favor of God. The head of the program was so impressed with my application that a reference letter wasn’t required. God had opened this door of opportunity for me and provided a restful process.
On the work front, I had been looking for a job for eight months and finally landed an interview. It didn’t work out but I was referred to another position within the same company. It turned out to be my dream job for which I had to let go of as I had missed the application deadline.
An interview was arranged for me so quickly that I didn’t have much time to prepare for it. But God gave me the right words to say and I got the job. I also found out that my managers were very picky and had rejected many job applicants previously. I knew I received this job undeservedly and am overwhelmed by the goodness of God!
Looking back, I realize I have been blessed with so many things that I had been asking God for, including good grades in my studies, a job, and a home. And everything happened within a year. It’s like God reminding me that He can compress and redeem time, such as the eight months I had lost during the job hunt.
Not only that, I was part of the second last batch of employees who had received the redundancy package from my previous company. At that time, I was angry with God as I wanted to be in the last batch in order to receive pay for another six months at least. But much later, I realized that the later batch had greater difficulty in getting a new job in an increasingly saturated market. Some of my ex-colleagues are still unemployed today.
I have learned that every time I felt rejected or met with a roadblock in my life, God would turn the situation around and bless me instead. I also learned that He always has a divine timing for every plan, and that He loves and blesses me not because I am deserving but because I am the righteousness of God in Christ.
Pastor Prince, I have always regarded New Creation Church in Singapore as my home church and you as my pastor. I would also like to thank your prayer team for praying for me. Praise God for all He has done!
