Brother Received Minimum Sentence
My brother was incarcerated almost a year ago for a minor offense. The situation looked very bad and the lawyers were talking about him possibly serving eight to ten years in a federal prison. Remembering the many sermons you have preached on resting in God’s finished work, my family and I began to pray. I also began to take the Holy Communion daily.
We finally went to his sentencing hearing last week. Before this, we had been told to expect the maximum sentence because the sentencing judge was known to be very harsh, often giving the maximum punishment. But I responded to the lawyers saying, “God has the final say and we claim his freedom.”
When the sentence was given, the judge gave my brother the minimum sentence. The court officials were shocked. They said that this judge never gives anyone the minimum sentence. But we said God made the difference.
Pastor Prince, my life has also changed since I started watching your broadcast and reading your daily devotionals. Trust me when I say that I was a believer with wrong thinking. It was like being in bondage. I have learned so much from your teachings. You have opened the understanding of Scripture in ways I never dreamed of.
Thank you, Pastor Prince, for teaching the true Word of God. It has set me free. Blessings to you and your family.
