Cleared of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor, No More Gastritis
Pastor Prince, I was diagnosed with a gastrointestinal stromal tumor. I had a partial gastrectomy, splenectomy, and cholecystectomy about 5 years ago. I knew Jesus had healed me by His stripes, but there were lots of distractions trying to keep that very truth out of my sight.
I got scheduled for an oncologist visit during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The oncologist prescribed a very expensive chemo pill. I refused. I told my wife and daughter that God got me, and by Jesus’ stripes, I am healed, and I believe it. I listen to your CDs sent to your ministry’s partners.
I’m scheduled for a follow-up computed tomography (CT) scan of the abdomen once a year to inspect the tumor site. In the 4th year, the scan was clear, but a few months later, I started having problems in the abdomen. I made an appointment with a gastroenterologist, who ordered medicine to help with some symptoms until I could get an office visit.
I went in for an esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), and the doctor stated that she did not see a surgical scar. I said to myself that it was because I was healed from it. She also told me that the EGD revealed some gastritis. A different test revealed small intestine bacteria overgrowth. They prescribed one medicine, but my insurance declined it, so they prescribed a different one. I did not have peace in my spirit and did not take it.
One Sunday, my wife and daughter were watching GRC online, and as I joined them from the kitchen, I heard you call out healing for someone with an intestinal problem. You said, “You are having intestinal problems, and you have been afraid.” Immediately, the constant feeling of bloating in my abdomen was gone. A week before that, I heard you say someone with gastritis has been healed. I told my wife and daughter that was my healing.
I called the clinic to find out if there was a test to determine if the problem had been fixed. The nurse asked, “You will be finished with the medicine tomorrow, correct? But we can only tell if the medicine worked by the patient’s symptoms.” I told her that I felt great and had no symptoms, and she said, “The medicine worked.” However, I didn’t even take them.
I thank God for you and your faithfulness to preach the gospel of grace, and I thank our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
