Cleared of Someone Else’s Debt

I recently purchased my first home and was very excited because it fulfilled one of my 3 prayer requests for last year.

While transferring all the utilities under my name, to my horror, I discovered that the previous owner had left a water bill balance of over $30,000 unpaid. A lien (legal claim) was placed on the property, and since I was now the owner, the responsibility to pay the debt would be mine.

I was devastated, but I was reminded of Joseph Prince’s teaching on how the battle is the Lord’s. I told Jesus I couldn’t pay the debt and that the battle was His. I refused to talk about it, and whenever anxious thoughts entered my mind, I would confess that the battle was the Lord’s.

Praise God, I later received a call from the water department’s supervisor stating that the balance had been removed from my account. Hallelujah!

Thank you, Pastor Prince, for your teachings! I see Jesus as He truly is—a loving Savior who loves me perfectly! Love never fails, and Jesus didn’t fail me and never will.
