Delivered from Lifelong Nail-Biting Habit After Confessing Righteousness
I was watching one of your sermons on television one morning when you asked, “What addiction do you have?”
I thought to myself, “I’m good! I do not have an alcohol, drug, or smoking addiction.”
Then, you asked, “What habit do you have that you can’t break?”
I looked down at my ugly fingernails. I recalled that my dad and granddad were nail biters and thought to myself, “I am thankful I don’t have a more serious addiction. But, I’d like to break this dirty habit of nail biting.”
That’s how I began to confess, “I am the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ,” whenever I brought my fingernails to my mouth.
Within a couple of days, I was released from the nail-biting habit I have had all my life!
Thank you so much, Pastor Prince, for preaching in a way that helps us apply the Word to our lives. My fingernails are so pretty now! It feels good to be free of such an unattractive habit. I am not ashamed when people see or touch my hands anymore.
Thank you for teaching me about how Jesus can bring to light habits we don’t consider addictions. In Him and in the power of His Word we are able to overcome addictions, even those that have been passed down through generations. Again, thank you!
