One evening after a casual walk, my knees began to hurt. At that time, I thought it must have been because I had not exercised in a long time and so I waited for a few days to see if the pain would pass. However, the pain persisted for almost a month. Still, I ignored it and thought that it was normal.

A few months passed and I noticed that the pain had begun to spread to other parts of my body. When I woke up in the mornings, my body would be stiff. When I bent down, my knees would hurt terribly. By then, almost eight months had passed and I found it difficult to walk. I began looking up the symptoms and the information I found pointed to the possibility that my condition could be rather serious. In fact, it did not seem to have a cure.

I began to start on some natural remedies, like consuming juices. By this time, I was increasingly frustrated with the pain. However, I had also begun to listen to Pastor Joseph Prince’s sermons. So even though I was seeing all these symptoms on my body, I never once took the name of that disease upon my lips and neither did I go to any doctor nor did I tell any of my born-again friends. Then one day, this passage of scripture stood out for me: “The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion” (Prov. 28:1).

I realized that all this I had been letting worry enter my thoughts as I looked up the symptoms on the Internet. From then on, I was determined not to let the enemy convince me that I was sick, but instead chose to stand firm on God’s promise—that I am a new creation in Christ.

I stopped taking all the juices that I was consuming and from then on, every time the pain was excruciating, I would declare, “I am a beloved and healed son of God.” I just began to rest in my true God-given identity in Christ.

Some time passed and one day, I chanced upon a prayer and intercession program on YouTube and the host mentioned, “Chains are falling off someone’s knees.” Instantly, I bent down and there was no pain. I felt light instantly. Still, I waited for a few days just to be sure that the pain had left for good. Then, after three days, the pain came back and the first thought that came to me was that I had lost my healing. But I caught that thought and instead of accepting it, I stood firm on my position as a beloved and healed son of God. Two days later, all the symptoms of pain left my body, and it has been more than a year since I had any pain.

Pastor Prince, I want to praise God for your ministry and the freedom and love I feel every time I hear your messages. Your teachings, especially your sermon, Let Go And Let His Supply Flow, have really helped me rest in my identity in Christ,. I have applied that truth through the example you gave of sitting in a chair in all areas of my life, and you cannot imagine the supernatural miracles I have seen.
