Found Employment after Prayer, Hopeless Situation Turned Around
Last year, I was unjustly fired from a job and had difficulty finding employment thereafter. A week after I lost my job, my car engine locked up and I was unable to get it to start. In addition, I had little savings after helping my mother to move. I felt so hopeless.
I went into eviction and applied for food stamps. Since there were no jobs in my area, I asked God to send me a job that would pay for me to move out of state and prayed consistently in tongues. I also asked God to put me where He wanted me to be.
I listened to Pastor Prince’s sermon about how Jesus is our door of hope (Hos. 2:15), and asked the Lord to be my door out of this destitute and hopeless situation.
A few months later, I was totally surprised to receive a call from a recruiter who offered me a job in another state. The job interview had taken place two months before, and I thought it didn’t go well.
Before receiving the call, I was feeling very depressed and told God that if He loved me at all, He would bring me a job. The recruiter contacted me that very same day! I accepted the job offer and have been employed since then.
I hope my testimony will help anyone who is seeking employment in a hopeless situation. Don’t give up on God for He is faithful!
