Freed From Colon Cancer
In September 2012, I was diagnosed with early stage colon cancer at the age of sixty-four. Prior to this, I had never gone for any regular medical examinations. But God, in His mercy, surfaced this issue before it became too advanced.
Within three weeks of the first diagnosis, I had surgery to remove the affected sections. I went through six months of chemotherapy without its usual side effects of nausea, fatigue, and exhaustion. I even went without missing a single day of work during the time of treatment. With His help, I am now free from cancer. Glory be to God!
Pastor Prince, I grew up in a church environment and I thought I knew all there was to know about work and faith. But my wife introduced me to your sermons and as I watched and listened, boy did I find out that there was so much I did not know.
In your sermons, you spoke about Jesus asking us to rest in Him—“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (see Matt. 11:28). So I rested in Jesus, partook of the Holy Communion daily, and left everything to Him.
I can quote many verses of the Bible that tell me that He loves my wife and me. But what is even more important than merely knowing the verses is experiencing His love personally. My wife and I realized this and so we left my medical condition to Him and He worked in the most beautiful way. God does not only love us but He likes us too.
