Healed from a Stroke and Blood Clot, Back at Work
One morning, when I woke up at 4 a.m. to prepare for work, I felt unusually unwell. My hand had no strength, my speech was slurring, and my movements were unsteady. By God’s grace, I managed to wake my son up, who immediately noticed something was wrong.
As my body went numb, my son and husband rushed me to the nearest Accident and Emergency (A&E) department. The doctors diagnosed me with having a stroke and blood clot and urgently transferred me to the Singapore General Hospital for surgery. Although 2 hours had already passed since the stroke occurred, God’s mercy allowed me to receive the life-saving surgery within the critical window.
During the ambulance ride, I was crying and questioning God because I felt forsaken by Him. However, the surgeon’s reassuring words reminded me to trust and rest in his safe hands.
Post-surgery, I struggled with basic functions, including using my phone and speaking clearly. Yet, the Holy Spirit convicted me to partake of the Holy Communion. Although I hadn’t practiced this at home before, I asked my son to bring juice and biscuits, and I partook of the Communion 3 times daily alongside my medicine.
Every night, I found peace listening to Pastor Prince’s God’s Promises of Healing on YouTube and reading scriptures. The doctors were unable to identify the cause of my stroke, and after numerous tests, they discharged me 2 weeks later with instructions for follow-up tests.
I had to face 4 months without work, and with my son freelancing and my husband's limited income, I feared for our finances. But God’s provision manifested through the assistance of the government and hospital social workers, and I was granted 100 percent coverage of my medical expenses for a year.
Now, a year later, I am fully healed and back at work. This experience has strengthened my faith, showing me that while I rest, God works on my behalf, taking my battles as His own.
I am grateful for Pastor Prince’s teachings on grace and the power of Holy Communion. Praise the Lord for His unfailing love and healing power!
