Sometime in September 2013, I felt a pain in my scalp, just above my right ear. It started out as a slight pain so I did nothing about it, thinking that it would go away by itself. But over time, the pain became unbearable. I felt like a thousand knives were stabbing my head all at once and I could not function. I could not work. When I consulted my doctor, he informed me that I had shingles and duly armed me with a prescription for antidepressants, which I did not want filled.

From the onset of this condition, the Lord had been speaking to me about the Holy Communion through His Word. I had also been reading Joseph Prince’s book, Health And Wholeness Through The Holy Communion. A day or so after the doctor’s appointment, a friend turned up on my doorstep with bread and grape juice in hand.

As we stood in the kitchen partaking of the Holy Communion and thanking the Lord for His healing mercies, I literally felt the pain in my scalp subside to the point that I could no longer feel it. I felt normal again. I knew that God had performed a miracle and healed me since there was no way I could have recovered so quickly in the natural. I was even able to go back to work at the end of that week and have been free of the disease ever since. Praise God!
