Joyful And Free, No Longer Terrified And Scarred By The Law
I have been blessed by watching your two-day broadcast on the story of Ruth. I do not go to a church locally because I have had a hard time all my life believing that God was not an angry and mean God. This had caused deep wounds that I did not fully understand until I started watching you about two and a half to three years ago.
At first, I was wary about your teachings on grace and thought maybe the message was just too good to be true. As a man with chronic posttraumatic stress disorder, I rarely shed a tear, even at funerals, and have been very numb on every level. Yet, I have shed more tears of joy than I have thought possible from watching your sermons and teachings, almost more than I have in 45 years on earth.
I thank and praise God for the anointing that is all over, in and around you. I am no longer afraid of the law though I was terrified of it about five and a half years ago. I never truly knew God as a loving God until recently. Prior to that, I had no idea that He loved me as much as He does until I watched you teach the Word.
I don’t know if you can understand how deeply scarred I had been because I feared the law. It affected every area of my life for as long as I can remember, but now I know the TRUTH! I know that the faith of Jesus is mine as well, just from the teaching I have seen today and from your other teachings over time. My understanding and faith may be limited, but His is not. I can have every blessing of the covenant of Abraham plus unmerited favor, everlasting life, love, communion with God, peace, health, joy and so much more because of the cross of Jesus. I am so happy. I think this is a breakthrough—something has definitely changed. I have never felt this way or understood the gospel so clearly.
I pray for you and I thank God for you when I am thanking Him for all the good things in my life. May God continue to reveal to you His great love and use you as a vessel and faithful servant. I pray that you will never stop teaching and preaching, especially to lost, confused and hurting people (what I used to be). God bless you and your ministry, congregation, staff and nation.
