Long-Time Smoker’s Lungs Restored to Health
Some years ago, my heavenly Father set me free from a 38-year addiction to smoking cigarettes. When I was delivered, I did not want to gain weight, so I also continually thanked the Lord for helping me to not gain any weight. I am 15 pounds lighter today than when I smoked.
However, because of the duration and quantity of cigarettes I had smoked (one-and-a-half packs a day), my primary care doctor assessed my health to be that of a 60-year smoker and suggested I go for a lung scan.
My husband and I have been watching Pastor Prince’s teachings on the holy Communion since 2017 and have been partaking of it regularly 3 to 4 times every week.
I went for a computerized tomography (CT) scan of my lungs, and it showed numerous nodules, fissures, mild coronary calcification, and mild atherosclerotic calcification. I was not surprised by the results and was grateful my lungs were not worse considering how long I had smoked. As my husband and I continued partaking of the Communion, we specifically thanked Jesus that He died on the cross for my cigarette addiction and the damage I had incurred because of my addiction.
One year later, I went for another scan and the report showed my lungs had no suspicious nodules, masses, pleural effusion, pleural disease, or lymphadenopathy. The previously detected pulmonary nodules were not present anymore. My trachea and esophagus were clear, and the lung cancer screening was categorized negative, while the previous year’s report showed it was categorized as having a benign appearance.
Partaking of the holy Communion has healed and restored my lungs as if I was never a smoker! Hallelujah to my Father God and praise the almighty name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
