Lost Phone Returned An Hour After Prayer
After arriving at the airport in the Philippines, I took a taxi to a hotel and accidentally left my phone in the vehicle. It was only after I checked into the hotel that I realized my phone was missing.
Immediately, I prayed, “Lord, You know this phone is very important to me. Please help me find it.” I told myself to rest and let Jesus handle the matter. I also asked Him to guide my heart out of worry.
I felt better after that and informed a waitress at the hotel about my missing phone. She went to see if I had left it at the check-in reception but it wasn’t there. She tried to contact the driver of the taxi I had taken earlier but there was no answer. So she made a copy of my taxi receipt and said she would call the taxi driver again later. Meanwhile, all I could do was to have my lunch and pray.
Then I remembered a testimony I’d read on Joseph Prince Ministries’ website about how a lady had her stolen laptop returned to her after she had prayed. I told the Lord, “If this could happen to her, it could surely happen to me. The taxi driver will return my phone.”
After my lunch, I waited at the lobby for a taxi to take me to a meeting. Fifteen minutes later, a hotel staff came up to me saying that my phone had been found. My prayer was answered in an hour. Praise the Lord! When I told my colleagues about this, they said I had been “lucky.” I know it wasn’t luck, but the grace of Jesus.
That night, I wrote an email to the hotel manager and the taxi company to express my thanks. The following day, I received a bottle of wine and a basket of fruits at the hotel—the manager had been happy with my wonderful feedback.
When I ordered pizza and some water for dinner, a waitress served me a bowl of soup. I said I didn’t order it and she replied it was complimentary. I had stayed in this hotel many times before so I know there is no “complimentary soup.”
All praise and glory to our Lord Jesus! He has been watching over me and placing wonderful people around me. Since attending New Creation Church (in Singapore) a year ago, I’ve been busy counting my blessings!
