No More Chemo Needed For Son’s Knee
In February 2015, my nineteen-year-old son, Marcus, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer, on his right knee while we were in Miami. The specialists there recommended four chemo sessions followed by surgery for total knee replacement.
Being from another country (Trinidad and Tobago), we had no insurance and so the first session was extremely costly. Thanks to financial help from my brother and parents, we were able to do one chemo session in Miami. Subsequently, my son continued receiving chemo treatments when we returned to Trinidad and Tobago. This was possible because the doctor in Miami had sent my son’s doctor in Trinidad the chemo protocol.
The first session of chemo in Trinidad had to be prematurely aborted due to a faulty batch of the drugs. The next two sessions were successful. However, my son became very ill three weeks after the chemo and had to be hospitalized.
My mother told me of a television program she saw about the power of healing through the Holy Communion. One morning while getting ready for work, I watched one of Pastor Joseph Prince’s sermons where he shared a testimony about people who were ill and were healed upon partaking of the Communion. Not long after that, an elder in our church and a pastor visited us on different occasions and partook of the Communion with Marcus.
The time came for us to return to Miami for Marcus to get his total knee replacement. Through the help of churches in Trinidad, the generous donations of family and friends, and a huge loan my husband and I took, we were able to come up with the money for the surgery.
After the surgery, the tumor on my son’s knee was tested and found to be ninety-five percent dead. It was entirely removed and my son did not need to do anymore chemo. That was the greatest miracle we experienced.
The doctors were so amazed that the treatments had worked so well. But we know and declare that it was only through God’s grace that this happened in our lives. We were praying for God to heal my son and He answered our prayers.
Through it all, our family has grown stronger spiritually. And because of the osteosarcoma chemo protocol from Miami, Trinidad is now able to treat patients with this disease—another blessing.
Thank you, Pastor Joseph Prince, and may God continue to richly bless you.
