No More Fear of Sleeping Alone in the Dark
Pastor Prince, for as long as I can remember, up to the age of 33, I was always afraid of sleeping alone in the dark. If there were times I dared to sleep in the dark alone, I would make sure I was fully covered with a blanket from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. I also made sure that my hands or feet wouldn’t dangle over the edge of the bed because I would imagine something pulling them.
I have been listening to your message of grace for quite a while now. I am always reminded of God’s love for me, how victorious I am in Christ, and that I am the righteousness of God in Christ. Unconsciously, I became more and more Christ-conscious.
One night, I decided to turn off the lights and sleep in the dark without any hesitation or sense of fear. I wasn’t conscious of the dark. I was just conscious of God’s perfect love for me. Since then, I can sleep comfortably in the dark even without a blanket. I can even sleep with my hands or feet dangling over the edge of the bed.
I have also been complimented frequently on how young-looking I am every time I revealed my age to people (I am 34 at this point of writing). They thought I looked like someone still in college. Wow, praise and glory to Jesus alone. It is not due to my bloodline, my diet, or my exercise, but it is all by the finished work of Jesus alone. I partake of the Communion daily, and I declare that my youth is renewed like the eagle’s and that I have skin like a baby’s. Oh, praise my Savior! Glory to Jesus alone. None of me, all of Him!
Thank you, Pastor Prince, for responding to the Lord’s call to point us to Him and Him alone. God bless you, your family, and the church.
