Offered a Management Role Despite Inexperience
I’m a single mom of 3 children. I have been out of work for many years, choosing to study and do voluntary work so I can work around family commitments. It’s been difficult not being able to provide for my children as much as I would l love to. I’ve also felt stuck that my son was enrolled in a school I wasn’t happy with.
After I completed my university degree, I decided to look for paid work. I applied to many jobs but was unsuccessful because of my lack of work history. It felt like time and age were against me, but I kept watching Pastor Joseph Prince’s sermon The Lord of Time and Space. I had the desire to partake of the Communion each day, and I began to understand more and more about my inheritance in Christ. I also realized I wasn’t helpless or without help.
Sometime later, I bumped into my cousin, and she told me she could help get my son into a private school because of her connections. Even though I knew I didn’t have the finances to pay for the fees and that parents have been put on a 2-year waiting list to get their children into this school, I felt God’s peace and applied to the school.
Upon sending off the online application, I got an unexpected phone call from an old friend. She was the operations manager of an organization. She told me that God had placed me on her heart, and she offered me a job. It was a job I was underqualified for, and it paid far above my qualification rate. I’ve had some voluntary experience in this area of work, but I have never been in a management role, and this was all new to me. When I did my research about the job, I realized one had to have 20 years of experience in this role to receive the pay I was offered.
The very next day, I received a call from the school I had applied to and was told my son had been accepted. There was no 2-year waiting period for me. Hallelujah! Jesus is the Lord of time and space! I can now pay my son’s school fees, and my boss has told me to take my time to settle my son into his new school before I start work. To God be all the glory! It’s not by the sweat of my brow but by the blood of my Savior that I’ve received all these blessings.
Thank You, Jesus! Pastor Prince, may Daddy God continue to bless and unveil more and more of Jesus to you, your family, and your ministry.
