Offered New Job With Three-Fold Salary Increase

I work in the oil and gas industry. In early 2015, I got laid off due to the global oil crisis and I remained jobless for some time. Stress arose at home due to delayed bill payments and depleted savings as I was the sole breadwinner. My wife is a full-time homemaker and we have two children to support.

One day, my brother-in-law passed me Joseph Prince’s book, Unmerited Favor. At first, I was not interested in reading it as I was a Christian and thought I already knew what the book was about. However, I ended up reading it during the free time I had at home and was extremely blessed!

I learned so much about God’s love demonstrated for me through Jesus’ work at the cross and began to rest in Him with regard to looking for a job. I learned that I cannot earn God’s blessings on my own but through Jesus’ work on the cross.

In September 2015, I was offered a job with a salary three times more than my previous one, along with an opportunity to work overseas! If you were to view my résumé in light of the global oil crisis and high unemployment rate for oil and gas workers, you would know that I am totally unqualified for my job.

Thank God for His love and unmerited favor in my life. I am now able to go back to work again. I have also been experiencing amazing blessings at work that are impossible to have through my human efforts.

I hope my testimony will encourage fellow oil and gas workers who are currently unemployed. Have faith in Jesus’ finished work and you will see your breakthrough.
