Passed Exam After Declaring God’s Word
Over a year ago, a few colleagues and I were selected to sit for an international certification examination. Although we did our best, none of us passed. I reapplied to retake the exam. However, there was no material available to study for this particular exam. In addition, I was traveling and was so busy that I didn’t have time to prepare for it.
Before the exam, I read in Pastor Prince’s book, 100 Days of Favor, that success comes by depending on the Lord’s wisdom. The book also reminded me that I had God’s favor and the mind of Christ (see 1 Cor. 2:16). A line from another pastor’s sermon similarly encouraged me: “Because I am a child of the Most High God, I will get preferential treatment.”
With all these in mind just before the exam, I declared that I would be operating with the mind of Christ and experiencing God’s preferential treatment. I also confessed my rightful inheritance as a child of God—the ability to pass the exam.
Although the first exam question stumped me, I continued reminding myself that I had the mind of Christ. I also believed that if Jesus were to take the exam, He would be able to get through it—and so would I (see 1 John 4:17).
Then, I felt a supernatural peace throughout the rest of the exam. I didn’t feel anxious or nervous. In fact, I was even able to carefully compare different answer options for a particular question. Later, I found out I had passed the exam and was so happy!
I’ve learned that God can truly take care of me and provide for all my needs. Thank You, Jesus, for being my wisdom and helping me to pass this difficult exam. And thank you, Pastor Prince, for preaching the gospel of grace.
