Passed Exam After Resting In God’s Promises
After graduating from college, I had to take the state board examination to qualify for work. As I’ve always excelled in school, I thought that passing the exam would not be a problem. However, I was wrong and failed by a miserable four points. Having to tell my loved ones, professors, and classmates the bad news was humiliating. It killed my confidence and created great anxiety for me.
So the second time, I prayed and studied even more. My daily prayer request was to pass the exam. I also asked my church family to pray for me. I retook the exam with a mixture of nervousness, anxiety, and confidence, but failed by one point.
After the exam, I went home feeling defeated. Back at home, I heard Pastor Prince on television preaching about rest and trusting in God’s promises. So my prayers changed. I began to place my confidence in God instead of myself. I immediately applied to take the exam again, with this being my last chance. The night before the exam, Pastor Prince spoke about taking the Holy Communion. The following morning, I took the Holy Communion before the exam and I passed!
God is indeed faithful. As our Father, He wants us to have full and complete trust in Him and to rest in His promises. Thank you, Pastor Prince, for obeying God and reaching out to teach His people.
