Passed Exams After Declaring God’s Promises
I am an international student from Taiwan and am currently pursuing a graduate degree in one of the top 3 universities in the field I am studying. It has been an intense program, causing many of our seniors to receive mental health support.
Every year, the school sets different milestones, such as written comprehensive examinations, departmental oral exams, and school-wide oral exams, to help keep us on track to graduate.
This year, I needed to finalize a detailed research proposal and pass departmental and school-wide oral exams within 6 months. With a heavy workload and doing everything in my second language, I sometimes felt overwhelmed.
I have been listening to Pastor Prince’s sermons whenever I am cooking, walking, or having my quiet time. I remember speaking under my breath, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus,” before going for the departmental oral exams. Thankfully, I passed the first one.
Then, as I prepared for the school-wide oral exams, I combined my learning from sermons I’ve heard and a praise report, and I prayed to God, “I have the mind of Christ. I am God’s child, so I have His favor. As He is, so are we in this world. Therefore, I am rightfully claiming what I have as an inheritance—the advancement God wants me to have in my studies and to pass the exam.”
I am writing to share that I passed! Thank You, Jesus, for Your blood to heal, protect, cover, and save. Thank God for Pastor Prince’s preaching of God’s grace.
