By God’s grace, I was promoted in my workplace despite several odds.

Three months ago, the human resources department in my company told us not to expect any salary hikes—much less promotions—because of the ongoing recession. We were told to “be prepared for the worst.” It was bad news for all of us.

My manager also said that it was not possible to push our cases for promotion, even if there was a promotion cycle. So it seemed like there was no chance for anyone to get promoted.

However, I believed that where there is no way, my Father God can make a way because He says in Isaiah 43:19, KJV, “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

The Bible also says that promotion comes from the Lord (Psalm 75:6–7). So I declared, “Abba, You are my Daddy, and I am Your child. I trust that You will play Your role of a Daddy perfectly in my life. So I am not going to worry about this promotion, and I rest in Your loving arms like a little child.”

The Holy Spirit also gave me a revelation that the Lord was going to promote me. So I decided not to ask anyone for a promotion because I believed my heavenly Daddy Himself will lift my head up.

To everyone’s surprise, the organization announced a promotion cycle in 2013. The nominations phase started and managers were in charge of submitting nominations. Whenever I saw my friends, they would ask if I had spoken to my manager. This was because in the information technology industry here, staff who wish to be promoted must take the initiative to raise their cases to their supervisors for consideration.

However, I decided not to approach my manager. I believed that God is my Abba and I can trust in His unending love. He will do mighty wonders in my life—even things that I did not ask for, because He is my loving Father!

Amazingly, I got promoted by the grace of God! Even people in my project with more experiences and skills did not get promoted. If the Lord blesses you, no one can stop or come against it! His Word is final in our life! He opens doors that no one can shut. All glory to Abba Father and my Lord Jesus Christ!

I also thank God for Joseph Prince Ministries because while I was hearing the message about our Father’s love, the Holy Spirit gave me this revelation: God is my Daddy!
