I have been in a company for ten years and was promoted eight years ago. The vertical hierarchy structure is quite flat, which makes it very difficult for promotions to occur. The yearly promotion quota is also very low. One has to out-perform his peers very significantly in order to be promoted.

Near the end of 2015, my superior told me that he would put my name up for a promotion as he was pleased with my performance. But he told me that the chance of promotion was only fifty percent as the selection process was very stringent. I was also informed that the selection process would take one month to complete (by February 2016).

On January 10, 2016, I attended church and Pastor Prince preached a sermon entitled, Five Words To Live By—The Battle Is The Lord's. The message stood out for me. During the one-month selection process, I applied what Pastor Prince taught and rested in the Lord. I kept confessing that the battle was the Lord’s and that 2016 would be a year where I possess my possessions.

On the morning of February 22, 2016, the vice-president of my company presented me with a letter of promotion! I thank God for this and I thank Pastor Prince for preaching his message that helped me trust and rest in the Lord.

I would also like to thank him for declaring Psalm 91 and God’s protection from dangers, accidents, and diseases over the church congregation. On October 8 last year, I was driving my two kids to school with my wife. My stationary car was suddenly hit from behind by another car and that caused the rear windscreen to shatter.

Thankfully, my kids did not suffer any injuries and my wife had only small cuts on her forehead and elbow. Thank God for His protection upon my family and loved ones!
