In August 2014, just two days before my birthday, I received my greatest unearned, undeserved, and unmerited favor when I was promoted to a permanent and better position with a higher pay.

Prior to the promotion, I was working as a contract worker in the same company for three years without benefits. I’d also applied for the permanent position twice but was disqualified both times because I did not have any relevant training for the job. It was very disappointing.

However, because I have learned about God’s grace, I believed that God was setting me up for a big miracle. I stopped agonizing over the position when I realized that I am God’s beloved and my identity is not in the job, but in Christ.

The company subsequently sent me for the training that I so badly needed to qualify for the position. How that happened was purely by accident. I was not supposed to go for that training since I was in a different department and section but because I went, I was qualified for the position I’d applied for. My appointment was publicly announced during our general assembly and I am the first contract worker in the company who was promoted—God truly qualifies the unqualified!

I can now say how beautiful life is after receiving the message of grace. Prior to that, I never truly understood the difference between law and grace even though I have been a Christian for a long time. I believed that every time I sinned against God, I had to be remorseful and ask for forgiveness. I believed that the fellowship I had with God could be broken and that God is sometimes angry with me. I usually confess and ask for forgiveness many times in a day or as long as I felt guilty about that particular sin.

But despite my best efforts, I kept on sinning. There were many times in my life when I really wanted to die and return to God in heaven. Many times, I wanted Him to take my life. As a result, I lost my health and my focus for work. I became easily irritated and had many troubled nights.

But after I read Pastor Joseph Prince’s book, Unmerited Favor, I started receiving the light and wisdom through the Holy Spirit to know more about Jesus and His finished work. I began to hunger for God’s Word and I started downloading Pastor Prince’s sermons online and listening to them. The more I listened, the more I was freed from anxiety and stress. I began partaking of the Holy Communion every time I had the opportunity and I am experiencing the health and wholeness of Jesus. I am also seeing divine results in other areas of my life.

Even my mom has seen the transformation in my life. She used to be apprehensive toward the grace message and Pastor Prince, but now she believes in Jesus’ unmerited favor. She has also read both Unmerited Favor and The Power of Right Believing, on top of listening to Pastor Prince’s messages.

I have a lot of things to say about how wonderful God is. Like how He recently saved our dog after it was struck down by a motorbike and dragged for almost ten meters. Our dog couldn’t move and spat blood. However, minutes after I applied anointing oil on its body, it suddenly got up and started walking, as if nothing had happened! Praise Jesus!

My heart is overflowing with joy and peace, all thanks to my Jesus and His finished work. Thank you, Pastor Prince, and all glory to our Abba Father, Jesus, and His Holy Spirit! Our God is an awesome God!
