Promoted to Global Role after Meditating on Word
I have been facing a very stressful year at work. The global economic environment has brought several challenges. I work in procurement and have been overloaded with shortages and price increases that have been very challenging to deal with.
Several times, I thought of looking for another job, but I did not have the motivation to start over again. To make matters more complex, I am located geographically in a different place from the rest of the team (about a 1-hour flight away).
I heard from my manager several times that the team attended training and workshops. I was quite disappointed to hear I was not invited or notified about those trainings and workshops and felt I was not part of the team. When I asked, the explanation was that I was in another country, and it was not practical for me to attend the training sessions.
I could not hide my disappointment as I had worked in the company for 3 years and had never met the team. As I reflected on that, I heard a small voice that said, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone” (Ps. 118:22).
This word kept coming to my mind, and I continued to meditate on it and also thought about the theme of the year—The Kairos Year of Right Time, Right Place. Then, unexpectedly, I received a phone call from another manager who told me I had been recommended and selected for a global, strategic leadership role and position. I was very surprised and happy because I knew this was the kairos moment I had been waiting for.
Thanks, Pastor Prince, for opening up the Scriptures. I love to meditate on them as they strengthen me when I feel discouraged. God is faithful!
