Protected From Car Accident
While traveling to work along a highway, my wife who was driving screamed and told me that we almost got into an accident. At that time, I wasn’t paying attention because as she was driving, I was putting my iPad away after listening to one of Pastor Prince’s sermons.
My wife told me that a taxi had swerved toward our car for unknown reasons. She said if the taxi had hit us, it would have rammed the side where I was sitting. Instead, the taxi crashed into the metal railing on the road divider.
I was briefly stunned by what she told me. By the time I looked out to see what had happened to the taxi, our car was already a long distance away.
Apparently, the entire incident happened while I was occupied with keeping my iPad. Since I did not witness the near accident, I did not experience the horror of a near collision.
Shortly after, Psalm 4:8 came to my mind: “I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
The next morning, we traveled the same way and I saw for myself how serious the accident had been. The metal railing on the road divider was badly dented and dislodged.
Tears welled up in my eyes as I realized how much Jesus loves me to rescue me even when I did not realize the danger that I was in. To God be the glory.
