Protected From Leech Bite After Confessing Righteousness
On June 7, my family and I went for a holiday trip to Kerala, India. Our trip consisted of a day hike through the forest of Silent Valley. Earlier in that week, I had watched one of Pastor Prince’s broadcast sermon, Keep Confessing Your Righteousness And See Good, on his ministries’ website.
When we arrived at Silent Valley Visitors’ Office, I saw a photo of a tiger that had attacked and killed an elephant in March 2013. Upon seeing this, I became very scared at the thought of travelling through Silent Valley in an open-topped jeep that offered little or no protection. From the start of the jeep ride, I kept declaring, “I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus” under my breath. There were a few times I felt really frightened, like when a wild bull came very close to our jeep, but I continued confessing, “I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.”
During the journey, we came to a point where we had to alight from the jeep and walk for a distance of one kilometer. We actually walked past the spot where the tiger had attacked the elephant. I kept on confessing, “I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.” After a while, we came upon a narrow path full of dry leaves and humus. It had just rained and after trekking for a few meters, we realized there were numerous leeches all over the forest ground. There were so many of them that we could not avoid them.
Out of the thirteen tourists travelling with us, ten were bitten by the leeches by the end of the hike. Everyone in my family was either bitten on their knees or feet and experienced bleeding from their wounds for some time. However, I was protected even though I was only wearing a pair of slippers! Surely, there is power in believing in the righteous foundation that God has laid for us. After this incident, I have learned that by confessing our righteousness in Christ, we would see good manifestations in our lives.
Thank you, Pastor Prince, for feeding us every day through the daily sermon broadcast on television. I am truly blessed by your ministry.
