Last month, I was at an animal farm and about a hundred children and parents were waiting around a picnic area to get a chance to hold a baby animal.

Suddenly, a wooden flag pole about thirty-five feet high and six-inches thick fell and hit me on the head. I could think of nothing except the children next to me at the picnic table.

Immediately, I stood up and held the pole on my shoulder for as long as I could, along with several men whom I saw holding up the pole with me. This allowed everyone else to get out of the way before we let the pole fall to the ground.

Later, when I asked around about the men who held up the pole with me, everyone said I was the only one holding up the pole. That was when I realized that we had angelic help.

I am over sixty years old and can barely carry my two-year-old granddaughter. Miraculously, I was not seriously hurt. I was just shaken by the incident and an X-ray showed that my swollen wrist was only bruised and there were no other injuries. I felt a slight soreness in my shoulder the next morning but I was fine and glorying in the Lord’s miraculous protection.

A few months before the incident, I had begun confessing aloud Psalm 91 daily, as well as Psalm 103 and other biblical blessings for the righteous in Christ. I believe my heavenly Father had put me at the right place and time to be His ambassador for Christ, and helped avert a tragedy that would have caused serious harm to a number of people.

God was literally my strength during the incident. This is my awesome God who “daily loads us with benefits” (Ps. 68:19)! Not only am I protected wherever I go, I am also protected for the sake of those around me.

I am so thankful that three years ago, I chanced upon Joseph Prince’s broadcast during a sleepless night. Since then, I have been learning from his broadcasts, sermons on CDs, and online devotionals.

I have received profound healing since I gained understanding about God’s grace and truth through Pastor Prince’s teachings. Truly, Christ has taken my sorrows on the cross for I have been completely healed from the sorrow of losing my twenty-seven-year-old son to suicide six years ago.

My daughter, an alcoholic for over a decade, also suddenly stopped drinking a few months ago. Her life has also been preserved from death despite lethal overdoses of prescription drugs. All I have done is to keep praying for her and to claim God’s promise that the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. I also often partake of the Holy Communion, declaring victory for her.

She has now immersed herself in the Alcoholics Anonymous program and is already changed. I know that she will soon see the love that God has for her.

Like the person described in Isaiah 54, I see myself as having inherited the righteousness of the Lord. Great shall be the peace of my children and I shall be far from oppression, fear, and terror. Praise the Lord!
