Received Distinction for Assignment Done While Recovering from COVID-19
Rest and acceleration truly is the word of the Lord for my life in 2022! My mother sent me the sermon Answers for a Hurried Life, and I watched it. To my amazement, Pastor Prince mentioned some of the very scriptures the Lord had directed me to around that time, including the ones on Martha and Mary. It was clearly a confirmation from the Lord that I needed to rest in Him. After watching the sermon, I watched The Year of Rest and Acceleration sermon.
Sometime after, I contracted COVID-19. I am originally from the Bahamas, but the Lord has sent me to London for my postgraduate study. I live alone but the Lord provided everything I needed and comforted me with His presence. The Lord has also raised up a standard so that the sickness would not progress, and I was healed quickly. He reminded me of His promises, and I felt encouraged the more I spoke them out loud.
While still recovering in self-isolation, I had an important assignment due, and it was worth 40 percent of my grade for that course. But the Lord reminded me about resting while He did the accelerating. I took my time, not stressing about the work to be done, but asking God to show me what to do. I ended up finishing my work in a matter of a few days. God gave me so much rest in Him that I was able to sleep even before submitting the assignment.
When the deadline for submission came, I felt like I had more to do because I just wasn’t used to having so much rest! But there was nothing left to do! When the results came out recently, I saw how the Lord put His “super” on my “natural,” like my mother would say—I got a distinction on that assignment! Plus, I have recovered from COVID-19 and recently graduated with a master's degree with distinction.
I give all the glory to God and thank Him for being with me. I thank those who prayed for me and offered me encouragement, and I am grateful for the word from this ministry about the Lord that has manifested in my life in many great ways. May you all be blessed, and may this ministry increase in Jesus’ name!
