In secondary school (high school) in Singapore, I was just an average student. When I entered a polytechnic institute, I made a huge mistake by enrolling in a course that I was not passionate about. I regretted my decision deeply, cried every day, and beat myself up for making the wrong decision.

On my first day in school, I requested for a course transfer but was rejected. I was told to wait till the end of the semester for a grade assessment. Feeling desperate, I prayed and asked God for a miracle. I even went to every Christian I knew, including my friends from church, for prayer. The chairperson of my course also tried his best to help me with the transfer.

While watching Pastor Prince’s sermon one day, I was encouraged to confess aloud what I had been trusting God for. I also wrote it down on a piece of paper and signed it and dated it. Then, God did a miracle I will never forget: the school called that evening to inform me that my transfer had been approved!

I was so shocked to hear the news and praised God. He had miraculously made a way for me to study my dream course. Not only that, I received a very good grade point average (GPA) of 3.91 (out of 4) for the semester. As a result, I received awards for best performance in four modules. I was also placed on the director’s list for excellent academic performance as well as having the most outstanding performance for the semester.

All this was made possible by the grace of God because I had only put in my usual effort in my studies and assignments. I didn’t even aim for a high GPA. Indeed, God blesses us with His grace when we least expect it.
