Two-and-a-half years ago, I stopped having my period and felt fine about it. But gradually, as I grew older, I started to worry that it would not return and I wanted to be normal like other young women. I believed God for restorationof a regular cycle. It was one of my three wishes for the year.

However, the journey of believing God for restoration was like being on a roller coaster ride. Sometimes it was really difficult to believe and have faith, but I knew the time spent waiting on the Lord for restoration would not be wasted.

One day, I was watching a sermon titled, Tongues—The Key To A Spirit-Led Life. Pastor Prince was explaining the Bible verse that says “out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38, KJV). The word “belly” is the same Hebrew word for the word “womb” in Luke 1:31 (KJV). He also preached that when we pray in tongues, it removes defilement from our body, edifies our spirit, and builds and repairs the house of God (our body)!

After listening to the sermon, I started praying in the Spirit often every day and partook of the Holy Communion each morning. This has become part of my morning routine and I have grown closer to the Lord in my spirit and I feel such shalom-peace in my heart every day.

To make a long story short, I experienced my restoration after more than two years! Praise Jesus! I also realized that the period I went through before receiving the restoration helped to strengthen my faith and made me stronger. It helped me see that even in hopeless situations, I can have hope in the One who is hope! He gives restoration at the right time; not early nor late but at His perfect timing. Simply believe in His love for us and know that our God is a faithful God. It is HIS restoration after all. Hallelujah! Praise Jesus!
