Several years ago, my wife and I began to tune in to Pastor Prince’s broadcast regularly and read his book Destined to Reign. As we heard and studied the gospel, our faith began to grow. We believed God loved us and wasn’t out to punish us for our mistakes. When Jesus became the focal point in our lives, we were able to shake off self-condemnation, legalistic beliefs, as well as focus less on our faults and failures.

In March 2016, my wife and I discovered we were pregnant with our first child. We were excited and expectant as this had been our prayer and desire.

However, during our first doctor’s appointment, we were told there was no heartbeat. The doctor also couldn’t find our baby on the ultrasound. Shortly after, my wife experienced bleeding and contraction-like pains. When we returned to the doctor, our fear was confirmed—we had lost our baby at six-and-a-half weeks.

We were devastated, disappointed, and filled with guilt and condemnation. We wondered if God was punishing us for failing to do His will.

Not long after, we heard Pastor Prince’s message about how God had restored him and his wife with a baby after a miscarriage. He also addressed listeners who had been believing God for a child and declared they would be holding a baby in their arms “this time next year.”

We began partaking of the Holy Communion and believed we would conceive again. We also believed our pregnancy and delivery would be healthy and free from complications.

In August 2016, we found out we were pregnant again and we rejoiced! Our doctor’s appointment was nothing like the first. We heard a strong heartbeat and saw our little baby on the ultrasound. My wife also had a beautiful pregnancy and natural childbirth without any problems. She didn’t even catch a cold throughout her pregnancy!

Our healthy baby boy was born in April 2017—a year after Pastor Prince declared the word. We’re so thankful to God for delivering His promised blessing! We’re also so grateful to the Lord for Pastor Prince’s ministry.
