Seeing The Father’s Love And Provision For Daughters
I would like to share two testimonies regarding my two daughters.
The first is in relation to my twenty-year-old daughter, Genesis. After a year of seeking our Father’s will with regard to what she should do after graduating from high school, we all had peace with her entering the Air Force. Our Father reminded me that she has already been dedicated to Him as a baby and because she is now His daughter, He is watching over her. Knowing this, I was able to let her go in peace and with joy! She is doing well now and had been saving up to purchase a car.
One day, she told me she found a great deal on a car in another state. This did not rest well with me as she would have to drive for eight hours alone, in another state, as a new driver! I shared my concerns with her but I did not use my parental authority to force my will. She said she would take my concerns into consideration.
Of course, after the conversation, I ran to God with my concerns and He reminded me of His promise. I also remembered Pastor Prince saying that God showed him how the enemy would try to use his love for his daughter as a weapon against both of them. So I decided to take the position Pastor did and claimed our Father's promise. I said, “Father, she is in Your hands. You said You have her and I stand on that. She is in Your hands and that is the safest and the best place for her to be in the entire world. I receive Your peace.” I rested in that and put the matter to rest.
My daughter called me early next morning to tell me that she decided not to purchase the car or do that type of drive. She had also decided to save more money so she can maintain her financial freedom before purchasing a car. And while she was saving, she would be doing more research! Praise God! He indeed is faithful!
The second testimony is about my eleven-year-old daughter, Faith. Every year, we would attend an exclusive Christmas event that sells out quickly. Last year, she was really looking forward to going and told her dad that this would be the main thing she wanted for Christmas.
My husband really loves her, so when he forgot to purchase the tickets and they were sold out, believe me when I say he was devastated. We prayed about it and knew that our Father would bless us with a way to still attend or lead us to a new family event to enjoy. My husband continued to try to get tickets but we were told by the event leader there was a long waiting list. Even if they could get us seats, seating three of us together would be impossible. Nonetheless, my husband kept trying.
Around the same time, Faith also received money as a reward from her dad for achieving excellent grades in school. I used this opportunity to teach her about personal tithing, based on the example of Abraham and Melchizedek. After receiving this teaching, she prepared her tithe from a position of love, faith, appreciation, and expectation, and returned it to the Lord at church.
Later that week, we were told by the event leader that while looking through the ticket sales one more time, he managed to find seating for three of us, together. And not only that, the seats were the very best in the house, right by the fireplace. Bless God! These were also the very seats that we had last year and back then we said we hoped to be able to get them again the following year! Only our heavenly Father would have been able to make this happen. We give Him the praise.
My husband and I know that our Father loves our children, but to see Him so involved with the little details of their lives at the different stages of their lives is a relief for me as a mother. I can rest even more because I have personally seen Him attend to the little things in their lives better than I can. Only a parent that is in love with his child will go that deep into the details, guidance, and care. I fully trust Him with my children. Amen.
