I did consistently well academically right up to my second year in college. However, after being elected as a chairman in our local community, I lost focus as I was always worried about how I was performing in that role. As a result, I lost my scholarship.

After graduating from college, I started my own business and I just kept pushing myself to perform well but the results were dismal.

During that time, my family was also falling apart and I really hated my dad for falling for another woman. I was also enslaved by a very bad habit, which I’d struggled to break for 14 years but to no avail.

When I turned 33, I went to Manila because I felt led by God to do so. Despite my age and lack of resources, God provided me with a job. He also led me to a church and to listen to Pastor Joseph Prince’s teachings.

I then began confessing, “I am the righteousness of God and I am the beloved of God,” to myself, my friends and even to my pets. Over time, I discovered that I was not worried about money, success or even myself anymore. Most surprisingly, I found that the habit that enslaved me for 14 years lost its hold on me.

After struggling for so many years, I am finally free from my anxieties and the bad habit—without any conscious effort on my part! Thanks to Pastor Prince’s teaching, I am set free. Jesus is my Lord and I am His beloved!
