Set Free from Ungodly Relationship after Hearing Grace Message
I became a Christian at 20 and believed God for marriage. I prayed and fasted about it, but it seemed like the more I did that, the more I got into bad relationships.
In 2011, I got pregnant. As a believer, I felt so condemned. While on maternity leave, I heard Joseph Prince preach on TBN Africa and felt loved, accepted, and forgiven. However, I lost touch with the ministry as well as my home church and moved in with my partner in 2015. At the end of that year, I resigned from my job. Desperate and aimless, I started listening to Joseph Prince again. This time, I prayed daily and confessed, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.”
One day, as Pastor Prince was preaching and after the sermon, he prayed for ladies who were in ungodly relationships. I lifted my hands and believed Christ for my deliverance, even though it seemed impossible, as I had been living with my partner for almost 2 years already.
But the Lord made a way for me to tell my partner that I did not want to live in sin any longer and that I wanted to follow Christ. This was not easy and it led to discord in the relationship. We eventually agreed that we would wait for marriage. I cancelled the lease on the property we were renting and even lost the deposit and moved in with my little sister and her family.
My partner and I started attending church regularly and praying together. On June 3, 2017 we were married!
This was a prayer answered after 20 years. More importantly, the Lord used the ministry of Pastor Prince to help me understand how precious I am in Christ. I had tried for many years to remain sexually inactive but could not until I learned about relying on Christ’s finished work rather than my self-efforts.
I am so grateful for this ministry. I pray that through this ministry, many young ladies will come to believe that they are special and precious because of what the Lord has done for them. Thank you, Pastor Prince. Continue to spread the grace message to the world!
