Severe Acid Reflux Gone After Holy Communion

One night, after a few hours of dining out at a restaurant, I felt a great pain in my chest. Initially, I thought I was too tired and had some sort of heart condition. Afterwards, I realized that it was acid reflux caused by the not-so-fresh dinner.

The pain became so severe during the next half an hour that my body tensed up and I started sweating profusely. Taking medication did not help and the pain recurred every few minutes. At that point, I lost hope of getting any rest that night.

Out of helplessness, I suddenly remembered Joseph Prince’s teachings on the Holy Communion. I quickly got my husband to get me the Communion elements. As I partook, I was reminded of Isaiah 53:4—“Surely He has borne our griefs [sicknesses] and carried our sorrows [pain]…”

As I was quietly meditating on the phrase “He carried my pains,” the pain suddenly left me! Tears ran down my face, because I knew my Lord Jesus loves me so much, He carried upon Himself the pain that I was having.

The love of God was so tangible right there and then! For the rest of the evening, there was another very minor reflux, but it only lasted for a second and was very mild. I went on having a good night’s sleep without any pain.

Thank God for bringing Pastor Joseph Prince’s teachings into our lives. Thank you for the grace messages that unveil God’s love! My husband and I are watching your messages daily. God’s love has been changing our lives more than what we can ever ask for or imagine.
