Sisters Awarded Gold In Gymnastics Competition
I am 12 years old and I am in an elite rhythmic gymnastics team with my sister. We went to a competition on February 22, 2014, in Devon, which is a three-hour drive from home.
A day before we left for the competition, we partook of the Holy Communion.
It was our first time in Devon and we were unsure of the roads, so we had to depend on the global positioning system (GPS) to get to our venue. My dad keyed the competition venue’s address into the GPS before we left home. However, while driving halfway, the GPS shut down for no reason! Then, we all prayed as we could not afford to be late for the competition and the GPS came back on.
Before the competition, my mother gave my sister and me a bottle of anointing oil and we anointed ourselves. We performed and waited for what seemed like hours for the results.
During the competition, there was a team that performed a similar routine to our team. During practice sessions before the competition, this team always got the higher score. In addition, this team was in the competition for the second year while this was our first competition.
When the results were announced, that team was awarded a silver award, and I thought we would get a bronze award. Guess what, we won the gold award! I felt like screaming!
Later, we found out that my mom had prayed in tongues during the competition, as did my sister and I. All praise to Jesus! He always answers our prayers!
