Smooth Delivery Of Baby Despite Medical And Surgical History
I was pregnant in early 2011 and was to give birth in early October. My doctor said that it would be a difficult delivery for me because of my medical and surgical history. However, my husband and I trusted Jesus’ to give us a smooth delivery. We took the Holy Communion almost every day and often listened to Joseph Prince’s sermons.
On 24 September 2011, I started having contraction pain in the middle of the night. My husband drove me to the hospital and I was admitted to the labor room since my cervix had dilated to 4cm. During the critical period, I kept praying and trusted the Lord to ease the labor pains. The doctor and the nurse monitored me closely. At 4am, my baby was delivered easily without me feeling much pain. Praise the Lord for His mercy and love!
A few hours after the delivery, because she scored poorly for the APGAR test (a test to evaluate a newborn’s physical condition), my baby was put in special care nursery. She was there for 12 days for close monitoring. Today, however, she is very active, healthy and lovely. Thank You, Lord!
