Son Healed of Broken Ankle with No Surgery

My 21-year-old son attended a satellite church at his university and accepted Christ as his Savior. He also decided to join the church’s softball team. In the third game, he broke his ankle.

The doctor reported that my son needed surgery since the tendon was about 8 to 9 mm from the bone (any gap over 4 mm requires surgery). The recuperation time was estimated to be 3 to 4 months. I felt that I should get another opinion. The second doctor agreed with the first doctor’s opinion. The X-ray was conclusive. But he said he would take another X-ray in a couple of days, right before the scheduled surgery.

I prayed to God, saying, “God, You parted the Red Sea, so You can move this tendon by 4 mm.” My son was a month-old Christian with little understanding of divine healing, so I prayed and believed God for his healing as I partook of the Holy Communion.

In 5 days, the doctor took the second x-ray. He came into the room shocked. The tendon had moved 8 mm. God had given me more than I had prayed for. I told the doctor we had been praying, and he responded, “Well, your prayers worked!” There was no reason for surgery anymore.

We went back in 3 weeks for a follow-up, and they took another X-ray. Again, the doctor came into the room looking mystified. He said he had never seen bone grow back so solid and fast and called my son’s healing “miraculous”!

There was no medical explanation. God did more than I could have ever hoped for. I wanted to share this testimony to give others hope. Pastor Prince, I love your sermon Hope Never Disappoints—Have a Confident Expectation of Good! During this situation, we held on to Bible hope.
