Son Unharmed In Accident
One night, as my son Jon and I returned from a cycling trip, I got out of the car to unload the bicycles. Our house is located on a steep slope, and before I knew it, the car with Jon inside started rolling backwards, out of control. Eventually, it went over a curb and almost ploughed into a neighbor’s retaining wall, stopping inches from it, thanks to a tree which broke the impact.
The miracle was that Jon stepped out of the car completely unhurt. As a parent, just looking at photos of the accident makes me go cold with fear as so many things could have gone wrong, with disastrous consequences.
I truly understand and appreciate the psalm that Pastor Prince always preaches on—“A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you…for He shall give His angels charge over you…In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.” (Psalm 91:7, 11–12) Praise be to God!
