Speaking Life To What Is Dead
I remember that in the Bible, Jesus cursed a fig tree. Then, the next day, when His disciples saw the tree, one of them said, “Look, the fig tree that You cursed is dead.” I also remember Joseph Prince saying, “Oh well, you may not want to curse your plants but you can speak life to them.”
I have a tomato plant. It started growing well, but I accidentally watered it with water that had Clorox in it. Needless to say, it became quite dead. The stem turned a brownish color and all the leaves fell off except one. That one leaf was curled up, had a burnt color and was very brittle.
I decided to speak life into the tomato plant. I got as close as possible to its roots and moved my hand from the bottom to top saying, “I breathe God’s life into you, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.”
I did this for about four or five days. I had a few days where I didn’t go out of the house and maybe another five days of not looking at the plant. Today, I was walking back into the house and something made me look at the tomato plant. Its stem was green and it had leaves on it.
I started to praise the Lord for showing me the truth of His Word and for what He is doing in my life. Glory to God!
