Swelling In Feet Gone With Declaration Of God’s Word
Earlier this year, I noticed my feet were swollen. I’ve been overweight for most of my adult life and assumed this was the cause of the swelling. Instead of rushing to the doctor, I decided to pray and partake of the Holy Communion together with my family.
Recently, I heard Pastor Prince’s sermon entitled, Five Words To Live By—The Battle Is The Lord’s. It spoke to my situation and I learned the importance of believing the invisible (that I had normal-looking feet), instead of the visible (the swelling). I wrote down “The Battle Is The Lord’s” and what I’d learned on a post-it note, as an encouraging reminder for myself.
Every morning, as I wore socks over my swollen feet, I would lay hands on my feet and declare, “The battle is the Lord’s, not mine.” I would also proclaim the Lord’s healing and say, “I see skinny feet. I believe the invisible.”
Usually, when I removed my socks at the end of the day, I would see deep indentations on my feet as my socks were too tight because of the swelling. However, one day—two months after the swelling started—my feet had no indentations even after a full day of work and shopping. In fact, they looked normal to me.
I started praising God immediately and shared the good news with my family. We all rejoiced at what the Lord had done. This morning, my feet were still normal with no swelling. To God be all the glory!
Thank you, Pastor Prince, for your messages. God is truly using you as an instrument to bless the body of Christ.
